We’re Elpida and Pranav, the two people behind Playground Department. Between us, we bring experience in product design, technology, entrepreneurship, improvisation and game design. We have different backgrounds, different ways of thinking and a shared enthusiasm for making people do slightly ridiculous things together.
We’re hands-on in creating every Playground experience.
We both built startups. In every one, the hardest problems sat inside the team around the product. Teams looked fine on paper and felt stuck in practice.
So we started running Useless Hackathons with organisations like Netlight and Changers Hub. Teams built things nobody needed, and in a few hours they showed more about how they worked than months of meetings had.
Playground Department is what came out of that. Structured play, designed to show a team how it really works and what to develop next.
